According to the latest data released by the Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association (ABVE) and Tupi, Brazil had 29,866 public and semi-public EV charging points as of August 2026, representing a 76.9% increase compared with August 2025.

DC fast-charging infrastructure has shown particularly strong growth. The country had 11,397 DC charging points, accounting for 38.2% of the total charging network. DC charging points increased by 195.6% year-on-year, demonstrating the growing demand for faster and more efficient charging infrastructure.
