Antique Glass Apothecary Balance Scale fence cutting Double-sided porcelain sign for Opel-brandedEarly 20th century apothecary balance scale with an amber glass pedestal base, metal balance beam, chain suspensions, and two removable glass weighing pans. The beam has decorative wirework and a cast face at the center pivot. Glass pedestal and weighing pans are free of cracks or chips. The glass stem has a small circular manufacturing flaw, as photographed. The iron frame retains an attractive aged patina with light surface wear consistent with age.
